  • Since starting my business, my group of Personal Trainers have delivered over 60,000 sessions. That’s 60,000 sessions being delivered with more “elvis” than last year…that’s pretty cool!

Chris Burgess, Personal Trainer, after reading Shine!

  • Chris leads the most amazing, inspiring, and self-changing events. They’ve had a profound impact in my life and on my work. He has the uncanny ability to help individuals and companies change – change for the better, more profitable, more joyful. Chris helped me discover my real talents and desires. Working with him has changed my life.

Jeff Semenchuk, Chief Innovation Officer at Hyatt Hotels Corporation

  • Chris Baréz-Brown’s presentation style sparkled and inspired our team to think differently. His unique and powerful insights have the ability to transform any organization.

Derek Kent, Chief Marketing Officer, Canadian Olympic Committee

  • So much big talk about transformation... Chris actually delivers it. Time and again. Part art, part gift, part crazy man. He works his magic every time!

Maria Eitel - Founder and President of the Nike Foundation

  • Shine: How to Survive and Thrive at Work is a bright source of energy and ideas that will help you make the most of yourself.

Ken Robinson, author of The Element: How finding your passion changes everything

  • Chris’s book is a champagne-in-the-veins tonic for jaundiced people who desire to revive the technicolour from a monochrome life. I heartily recommend it.

Tim Smit, co-founder and CEO of The Eden Project

  • Our success [as Media Week Sales Team of the Year] is in no small measure down to the work we have done with Upping Your Elvis

    Simon Daglish, Commercial Director ITV

  • I can say without hyperbole that my week with Chris, Jim and the rest of the Elvis team down in Lyme Regis was one of the most enriching experiences I've had in my career. I immediately came away from the course with a new armoury of skills to help bring out my own creativity and that of others. Months on I am still feeling the effect of how the course has helped me to grow personally, in ways both tangible and tacit.

    Sarah Borland, Director MediaCom

  • It’s not the instrument that makes the music, it’s the player. So much emphasis in the world of innovation and creativity is placed on process, tools and techniques. Chris fully understands it’s the people who make the magic not the structure. Chris is a master at bringing out the creative spark in people to turn dust into something that matters, so that in the words of John Lennon, “We all shine on."

John Van Vleck, Global Director, Insights, Ideas and Creativity The Coca-Cola Company

  • Let Chris Barez-Brown be your idea guru!

Chris Baréz-Brown

Chris has a rather unusual view of the world in that he knows that everybody is perfect.

As we grow and develop and socialise we can lose touch with that brilliance and often become somebody we’re not. Chris specialises in helping people reconnect with their inner genius and once again become confident in being who they truly are. Although that may seem rather hippie to some, his results produce tangible returns on investment for companies such as Nike, MediaCom, Unilever and Diageo who come back time and again for his unique and energetic approach to transforming their people and their businesses.

Chris runs workshops from his stunning coastal home in Lyme Regis which have become a thing of legend amongst those who have taken part, not least for the fabulous Dorset cooking, the sea view, the 35-year-old Land Rover and his rather affable cocker spaniels, Sparky and Lupo. Chris is determined to inject more humanity back into business which is why he founded Upping Your Elvis in 2009 and has never been a happier bunny.

Harry Grose

Harry’s get up and go is what keeps everything rolling over at Elvis. As the Team Manager she is all about energy and positivity whilst also keeping things on the straight and narrow, with a smile to boot!

Having studied English Literature and Media at the University of Birmingham, she headed to the bright lights of London town before she decamped to River Cottage where she headed up bespoke events and marketing down on the farm.

Two years later, she joined forces with Upping Your Elvis as a strong believer in the idea that everyone has something unique and special to bring to the table.

Harry relishes the variety of daily tasks that she comes across, from emailing Steve Wozniak through to arranging a 2-day mini festival for a group of delegates, or even dealing with the finance department of a multi-million-pound corporate giant, it is never a dull moment.

In her spare time, she can be found up on the moors on her horse, running or walking her two sausage dogs, Wilbur and Ruby. 07714859188

Caroline Whaley

Caroline started her career in the adventure travel business, where she spent 10 years working in marketing, tour operations, recruitment and when not doing that, hanging off the ends of ropes or shooting the odd rapid – both with a remarkable lack of dexterity. After undertaking her MBA at Lancaster, and in her words ‘discovering she had a brain and learning how to actually use it’, she joined Nike where she held a variety of senior brand marketing and GM roles across Europe, North America and Latin America. For the last 3 years, she was seconded to the Nike Foundation where she applied her brand, consumer insights and design innovation skills to the girl effect, focused on building powerful social-impact brands in Africa that change the norms around girls living in poverty.

She continues to coach and develop aspiring leaders, particularly women, to reach their fullest potential within highly competitive and culturally diverse corporate environments and has created a reputation as a talented consultant and coach. If you can’t track her down, she’s usually to be found out running, sailing, biking, stomping over hills with her Springer Spaniel or enjoying some good banter over excellent seafood and a decent bottle of wine.
