• Shine: How to Survive and Thrive at Work is a bright source of energy and ideas that will help you make the most of yourself.

Ken Robinson, author of The Element: How finding your passion changes everything

  • Upping Your Elvis’s simple, human approach to creative leadership helped to teach the Maxus teams that work is all about how we show up every day, not instilling clever techniques and processes. We have applied the learnings, delivered tangible results and live it every day in the work we do at Maxus.

Jenny Smith, Global Creative Director Maxus

  • Chris’s book is a champagne-in-the-veins tonic for jaundiced people who desire to revive the technicolour from a monochrome life. I heartily recommend it.

Tim Smit, co-founder and CEO of The Eden Project

  • The session was very well received. Your suggestions were referenced many times over the rest of the meeting. Your approach is a breath of fresh air in helping my team consider different approaches to work with each other and with a very diverse stakeholder group.

Peter Yribar, Global Head Product Development Quality at Genentech

  • Apart from the very insightful content and great techniques I thought the delivery was the best I’ve ever seen – very human and hilarious (and I have high comedy standards ;-))

Olivia Diamond, Commercial Progamme Manager, Diageo

  • Since starting my business, my group of Personal Trainers have delivered over 60,000 sessions. That’s 60,000 sessions being delivered with more “elvis” than last year…that’s pretty cool!

Chris Burgess, Personal Trainer, after reading Shine!

Chris Baréz-Brown

Chris has a rather unusual view of the world in that he knows that everybody is perfect. As we grow and develop and socialise we can lose touch with that brilliance and often become somebody we’re not.

He combines an eclectic professional background including time in the army, brand management, innovation and leadership development, with his fascination for people and the more esoteric practices of Reiki, meditation, shamanism, hypnotherapy and cider drinking. All of which make his take on work refreshing, simple and inspiring which you can see at www.barez-brown.com

Chris has written three bestselling books;- ‘How to have kick ass ideas’ is published by HarperCollins. ‘Shine. How to survive and thrive at work’, and ‘Free. Love your work, love your life’ are both published by Penguin. His latest book 'Wake Up!' will be published by Penguin Life in December 2016.

He has a monthly column in Psychologies magazine and British Airways Business Life magazine & contributes regularly to Fast Company and The Guardian. He spoke at TEDx Utrecht in January 2016 and the inspirational ideas festival Do Lectures in June 2015. He is also co founder of Street Wisdom a not-for-profit urban mindfulness educational project.

The Guardian recently described Chris as a long haired, twinkly eyed cross between Richard Branson and a wizard. @barezbrown
